2026 Block Island Pride
September 11-13
Block Pride returns for its sixth year of queer joy, artistry, nature, and unapologetic celebration on beautiful Block Island. What began as a gathering of friends has grown into a full weekend of coastal magic — honoring our community, uplifting LGBTQ+ voices, and creating space for connection, creativity, and liberation.
Throughout the weekend, book a 15-minute portrait session with Cole Caswell behind The Darius Inn, made using the historic wet-plate collodion process — a timeless keepsake capturing your Pride glow in silver and shadow.
Ground yourself with All-Levels Gentle Yoga & Peace Meditation on the beach led by Queer Yogi Bailey Quinlan of Woo-Woo Crew. Breathe, stretch, and reconnect in a practice designed for every body and every level, including a short Plum Village–inspired meditation to center us in compassion and presence.
Get your hands messy at our Rainbow Tie-Dye Gathering — sling those colors like you mean it — and bring your sparkle to Unicorn Bingo at the Island Free Library, where fierce laughs and fabulous prizes await. Slip into something sultry for an intimate Jazz Bar Speakeasy featuring smooth sounds and optional tarot readings, then dance the night away at our signature Drag Party under the disco ball — expect dazzling performances, pulsing beats, and unforgettable queer energy.
Families and friends are invited to Rainbow Story Hour, delighting in stories, sparkle, and shared imagination. March with us in the Pride Parade — bring the extravaganza, bring the noise, bring your whole self. Afterward, refuel at Brunch & Performances featuring DJs, live acts, and family-friendly fabulousness.
Tap into your creative spirit with a Life Drawing session overlooking the ocean, then join us beachside for an outdoor film screening under the stars — blankets, chairs, salty air, and a beloved queer cinema classic lighting up the night.
We’ll also gather in nature for a guided Queerness in Nature program, exploring biodiversity and the truth that nature itself is expansive, fluid, and beautifully queer. Close out the celebration at our Secret Garden Brunch — a final toast, one last dance, and a moment of chosen family before we part until next year.
Block Pride is community-powered. Your support helps us compensate artists, create safer and more inclusive spaces, and continue building something beautiful together on Block Island.
